At Skipper for Hire we understand that your yacht is also your pride and joy; therefore we make every effort to ensure that whenever onboard we act with the highest of professional standards. Whether you want us to deliver your yacht fully crewed, or you require an extra experienced hand on board to assist with a passage, we are here to help.

Skipper and Crew Hire

If you require a skipper for a short cruise with family and friends, or an experienced crew member to help you deliver your yacht to a distant port, we can help.  We have an extensive database of crew. We only use professional individuals with whom we have previously worked and who fit our high standards. Therefore, if we are unable to find anyone who meets your requirements, we won’t take on the contract.

YACHT DELIVERY

• Once you have made contact with us, we will assess your requirements and reply to you with a quotation.
• When you are happy with the quote, we will discuss a possible delivery window and assign you a professional Skipper, Mate and Crew.
• We will then confirm with you that the vessel is ready for sea, and if not what steps need to be taken.
• Skipper and crew arrive at vessel. Full inventory performed (where possible) including check of safety equipment.
• Skipper, crew and vessel depart and make best possible passage keeping a detailed and regularly updated log. Where possible we also offer a live tracking system.
• Upon arrival at the destination the vessel will have a thorough valet before the Skipper and Crew depart.
• A full report of vessel's condition and systems will be delivered to you, including copy of log book, assessment of the boat's condition and any recommendations from the Skipper.

Monkey's Fist Sailing is a recognised RYA training establishment for teaching shorebased courses including: RYA Day Skipper Theory and RYA Yachtmaster Theory.  They arrange practical courses including Yachtmaster Preparation, RYA Competent Crew and RYA Day Skipper.
